About the College

The Glendowie College Board of Trustees

In the 2010 elections, parents Stephen Grainger, Jan Alley, Dave Brown and Dawn Garbett-Ovens were re-elected to the Board of Trustees, along with new member Garry Jones. In addition, the Board decided to co-opt Shayne Blake. Stephen Grainger was re-elected as Chairperson and Garry Jones Vice-Chairperson. Jeanette Bell was elected unopposed as staff representative and Taotao Li is the 2011-2012 student representative. Dave Brown resigned from the Board at the end of 2010 and Shayne Blake was appointed a trustee in his place. As the governing body of the college, Board members have an extensive role and responsibility. As representatives of the Glendowie Community they are responsible for ensuring the college provides the best possible opportunities for our students including overseeing property and finance. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board members for their willingness to serve the college and the community in this way.
